A real mirror in that corner means a stud, a bracket, a drill and a deposit you would rather keep. These are mirrored plastic tiles with adhesive already on the back. They cut with scissors, they go up in an afternoon, and they bounce whatever light the room has back across it.
Read this before anything else
This is decorative mirror, not a glass mirror
We are putting this at the top rather than the bottom, because it is the one thing that decides whether you will be pleased with these or annoyed by them.
A flexible mirrored sheet reflects, but it does not reflect flatly the way silvered glass does. Stuck to a wall, the surface picks up every ripple in the plaster underneath, so the reflection has a gentle wave in it — more like a mirrored surface in a shop fit-out than like a bathroom mirror. The manufacturer’s own note says it plainly: a glassless mirror is not a real mirror, and these are intended for wall decoration.
Buy them to bounce light, to make a small room read bigger, to build a feature wall or a backdrop. Do not buy them to shave, do your eye makeup, or check a hemline. For that you want glass.
Two films, in order
Back first, then the blue one off the front
Every sheet arrives with adhesive under a paper liner on the back and a blue protective film on the mirror face. Peel the paper, position it, press it down from the middle outwards — then peel the blue film. Do it in that order and you will not get fingerprints trapped under the shine.
Leave the blue film on while you cut. It protects the surface from the scissors and from your own hands.
The wall matters more than the tile
Flat, smooth, clean and dry — all four
Painted plasterboard, gloss-painted MDF, tile, glass, a wardrobe door, a smooth cupboard side. Those work. Textured wallpaper, bare brick, raw plaster, sawn timber and anything damp will not hold, and a bumpy surface is exactly what puts the wave into the reflection.
Wipe the spot with rubbing alcohol and let it dry before you start. The supplier is blunt about it too: wet or dirty walls make these fall off.
Tiles or one sheet
Grid lines, or no grid lines
Tile packs (10, 16 or 32 pieces) give you a visible grid, which is the look most people are actually after — and they are far more forgiving, because one tile going on crooked is one tile, not the whole wall.
Single sheets — 20 × 39 in (50 × 100 cm) or 20 × 79 in (50 × 200 cm) — give you an unbroken surface for a door, a wardrobe panel or a full-height strip. Harder to place without a bubble, better if you do not want seams. Both cut to size with scissors or a craft knife.

Laid as a block, sixteen 6×6 in tiles make a 60 × 60 cm (24 × 24 in) square, and thirty-two make 60 × 120 cm (24 × 47 in). Sizes are approximate — measured by hand, so allow a few millimetres either way.
0.1 mm or 0.2 mm
Which thickness to pick
0.2 mm is the one to choose if you are unsure. It is stiffer, so it holds its own shape while you position it and shows a little less of whatever is underneath.
0.1 mm is thinner and floppier. It is cheaper and it will wrap a gentle curve — a column, a curved cabinet front — but on a flat wall it telegraphs bumps more and it creases if you kink it. A crease does not come out.
Before you buy
The rest of the honest list
- The reflection will have a wave in it. Covered above, and worth repeating because it is the number one complaint about every product of this type, from every seller.
- Adhesive is one-shot. Peel a tile back off and the adhesive is spent. Dry-lay the whole layout on the floor first and mark your wall with pencil before you commit.
- Removal may take paint with it. It is a permanent-style adhesive, not a removable poster strip. On fresh or thin paint, expect to touch up. Test one tile in a hidden spot if that matters to your deposit.
- Not for a steamy bathroom or outdoors. Repeated condensation gets behind the adhesive and lifts it, and there is no weather rating.
- Material is listed inconsistently. The supplier’s spec sheet says PET plastic and its own body text says acrylic — two different plastics. We are not going to pick one for them. If the exact material matters for your project, email us and we will get it confirmed before you order.

Questions people ask
Can I actually see myself properly in it?
You will see yourself, but not sharply. Think of a shop-window reflection rather than a bathroom mirror — recognisable, useful for checking an outfit at a glance, not good enough for makeup or shaving. If that is a disappointment, this is not the product for you and we would rather you knew now than after it arrives.
How many do I need?
Measure your wall in centimetres or inches, work out the area, and match it against the coverage table above. As a shortcut: sixteen 6×6 in tiles cover 0.36 m² (3.9 sq ft) and make a 60 × 60 cm block; thirty-two cover 0.72 m² (7.8 sq ft). Order one pack more than the maths says — you will want spares for cuts and for the one you place badly.
How do I get a straight grid?
Pencil and a spirit level, before you peel anything. Draw the outer rectangle and one horizontal guide line, start from the centre tile and work out. Leave a consistent 1–2 mm gap between tiles rather than butting them tight — the shadow line looks deliberate and it hides any size variation.
Will it come off without wrecking the paint?
Sometimes. It is a strong adhesive, so on fresh, thin or matte emulsion it can lift paint or paper. Warming a corner with a hairdryer helps it release. If you are in a rental and the deposit matters, stick it to something you own instead — a wardrobe door, a board, a piece of MDF you can hang.
Can I use it in a bathroom?
On a dry wall away from the shower, yes. Directly in a shower enclosure or above a bath that steams up daily, no — condensation creeps behind the adhesive and lifts the edges over a few weeks.
How do I clean it?
A dry or barely damp microfibre cloth. No glass cleaner, no ammonia, no paper towel and nothing abrasive — this is a coated plastic surface and it scratches far more easily than glass. A scratch is permanent.
Is it safe around children?
Safer than glass, which is a genuine reason people choose this — it will not shatter into shards. It can still crease, tear and give a plastic edge, so it is not a toy, and keep offcuts away from small children.
