Four sliders, one barrel

The bag you actually carry does not have room for four pencils.

So the pencils stay on the dresser, and by four in the afternoon the liner has gone soft and the lip line has worn off the middle. This is one pen roughly the size of a biro with four cartridges inside it — black liner, brown brow, berry lip, champagne highlight — and a separate slider for each. Press the one you want and only that tip comes out.

What is inside it

Black, brown, berry, champagne

Four fixed shades, not a shade range you choose from. Black is a true black for the lash line. Brown is a mid-brown for filling brows. Berry is a warm rose-red lip liner. Champagne is a pearl highlight for the inner corner and the brow bone.

Each slider has a small icon printed beside it — an eye, a brow, lips, a sparkle — so you are not guessing which tab is which in a car mirror.

How to use it: press the colour you want, twist the barrel to advance more product, do not press two tabs at once

How it works

Press one tab. Twist to feed.

Push the tab for the shade you want and that tip extends through the nib; push a different one and the first retracts. Press two at the same time and the mechanism binds — worth knowing, because it is the one thing people get wrong on day one. The barrel twists to advance a little more product as a tip wears down.
