How do I fit them so they actually hold?
Wipe the wall with rubbing alcohol and let it dry — not just water. Press hard for 30 seconds, then leave it at least an hour before hanging anything. Most failures are from hanging weight too soon.
Will they damage paint when removed?
On sound, fully cured paint they usually come away cleanly if you warm the base with a hairdryer first and peel slowly. On fresh or thin paint there is a real risk of lifting it.

Damaged on arrival? Ceramic is fragile, so check your parcel on delivery. Send us a photo within 48 hours and we will replace or refund the piece.
