This sconce runs on a rechargeable battery, sticks to the wall with an adhesive pad, and comes off in your hand when it needs charging. Put the light where it makes sense — not where the wiring happens to be.

Two ways to mount it
The mounting plate goes on with the included adhesive pad — no drill, no holes, nothing your landlord needs to know about. If you'd rather have something permanent, the same plate takes screws.
Either way there is no hardwiring and no power cable hanging down the wall.
The question everyone asks
The built-in 2000mAh battery runs for at least 15 hours on the lowest brightness setting. A full charge takes about 3 to 4 hours over USB, and the lamp shuts the power off by itself once it's full, so you can leave it plugged in overnight.
Used as an evening light, that's weeks between charges for most people.
Touch it, or don't
Tap the lamp to cycle three brightness levels. Hold it to move between warm, natural and white light. Everything is built into the lamp itself — there is no app and no hub.
A remote is included, so you can also do all of it from across the room or from bed. And the lamp remembers your last setting, so it comes back on the way you left it.
Point it your way
The lamp sits on a magnetic ball that turns a full 360°, so you are not locked into one beam direction after it goes up.
Angle it down over a headboard, up onto a picture, or straight out into a dark corner — and change your mind next week without touching the mount.
Comes off in your hand
The magnet holds the lamp firmly but lets go when you want it to. Lift it off to charge, and the mounting plate stays exactly where it is on the wall.
Off the wall it works as a small portable light — useful on a bedside table, or in your hand on the way down a dark hallway.

Before you put it up
Wipe the spot down and let it dry before pressing the plate on. Dust, damp, heavy texture or an uneven surface all reduce how well it grips.
On wallpaper, fresh paint or anything you're unsure about, test in a hidden spot first — or use the screws, which hold on any surface.
