A television is one size forever. A projector is whatever size the room allows — pull it back for a wall-filling picture, push it close for a tidy 40 inches on a bedroom wall. The same unit does both in the same evening.
Roughly two metres of throw gets you around 100 inches, which is the size most people actually end up using at home.
Most cheap projectors are dumb panels — you supply the brain with a streaming stick, a spare HDMI cable and another plug on the extension lead. This one runs Android 11 with Netflix and YouTube installed, so the only cable it needs is its own power.
HDMI and USB are still there for a console, a laptop, or a drive full of films.
The body swings through 180°, so the picture can go on a wall, a door, or straight up above the bed without propping it on a stack of books. Auto keystone squares the image off on its own when you aim it at an angle.
Zoom to 1.5× shrinks the picture without moving the projector — useful when the wall you want is closer than the shelf it sits on.

The panel is natively 1280 × 720. It will accept a 1080p signal, but it displays 720p. Stretched to 300 inches you will see the pixels. Where it looks genuinely good is roughly 60–120 inches — still far larger than any television most people own, and the size nearly everyone settles on after the first night of showing off.
We would rather tell you than let you find out: the manufacturer does not publish a lumen figure for this unit, so we are not going to quote one. Treat it as an evening projector. In a room with the lights on or curtains open, the picture will wash out — that is true of every projector in this price class, and anyone quoting a huge lumen number at this price is quoting the wrong kind of lumen.
It is loud enough for one person in a quiet bedroom. For anything with a soundtrack worth hearing, pair a Bluetooth speaker — 5.4 connects quickly and stays in sync. That is the single upgrade that changes how good this feels.
There is no internal battery — it runs from the wall, so "portable" means light and easy to carry, not cordless in a field. The adaptor accepts 100–240 V so it works on any grid, but the plug supplied is US type. Outside the US you will need a plug adaptor.
A flat matte wall in white or pale grey is free and works well. Textured render, wallpaper with a pattern, or a glossy paint will all cost you contrast. If the only wall you have is busy, a cheap roll-up screen does more for the picture than any setting in the menu.
