The lamp connects to its wall-mounted base magnetically, so removing it doesn't mean taking the mount off the wall.

Install the mounting base on a clean, dry, smooth surface and follow the included mounting instructions.
Dust, moisture, heavy texture, or an uneven surface can reduce adhesion. If you're unsure about a painted or finished surface, test the mounting method in an inconspicuous area first.
